I'd Like to Hire ACD. What's My Next Step?
To have your catch verified by ACD all you need to do is call
one of our 24 hour operations centers.
One
of our experienced and trained operators will handle your call and will
deploy a certified Dockside Monitor to verify your catch. Upon completion
of the weighout, the ACD Monitor will deliver copies of your fishing log
and weighout documents to our operations centre. Here your catch will
be entered into the DFO quota management database. By using ACD you can
rest assured that your catch will be reported as required as a condition
of your commercial fishing license.
At the time of offloading you will be issued a field reciept (view
sample field receipt here). This field receipt will list each landing,
showing: port landed, date, hours offloading and pounds offloaded. Your
invoice will be based on the information in the field reciept as approved
by you at the time of offloading. ACD provides this service to thousands
of fishermen throughout Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. If you belong to
an association it is likely that your association has received a competitive
price quote for our services. If you are independent, it is likely that
the buyer, or processor to whom you sell has received a quote from ACD.
Regardless, you may call the local office servicing
your region and find out what the fees are for monitoring your catch
in any given port. If you would like to discuss the fee structure for
your specific fishery you may contact Albert Gaudet, in the Yarmouth
office at 1 (888)477-4245 or Catherine Keizer, in the Halifax Office at
1 (902) 422-4745 for further details.
